Well, friends, here I am showing off my breakfast yet again! As if you’ve had enough of my smoothie bowls with the Matcha Smoothie Bowl, Pineapple Mango Smoothie Bowl, Banana Split Smoothie Bowl, or Dragon Fruit Smoothie Bowl. AS IF. I just know you all want more, so behold! This Acai Smoothie Bowl is calling your name, friend!

But seriously. These smoothie bowls have been out-of-this-world goooooood and I can’t seem to stop making them. They’re loaded with vitamins, fiber, protein, and they taste like a heavenly frozen treat!

And anyway, you guys are my friends. How could I not share something THIS good with my friends???

I’ve had a lot of questions about smoothie bowls lately. Specifically: WHY. Why a smoothie bowl? Why not just go regular smoothie?

I love a regular ‘ol mix n’ go smoothie. They’re convenient and quick, and loaded with nutrition. However, I love a smoothie bowl because 1.) I personally enjoy eating my food more than I do drinking it. But that’s just me. 2.) It’s a little bit thicker than a regular smoothie, which means I can add a gazillion healthy toppings (like homemade granola, fresh fruit, shredded coconut, chia seeds, goji berries, sliced almonds, and honey)!

So while those are my reasons for smoothie bowls, you could easily make this into a regular smoothie by using less of the yogurt and adding in a little bit of juice. Either way, this Acai Smoothie Bowl is a total win!

“But Christine, I don’t have time to make a fancy breakfast in the morning!”

Ah, you see I too thought of this. Because I understand the struggle. I too have zero time nor an ounce of desire to make a fancy and complicated breakfast first thing in the morning. However, this Acai Smoothie Bowl takes a TOTAL of 10 minutes to make! Just throw a bunch of stuff in the blender, mix it up, pour it out, and top it off. Take it to-go in these amazing On-The-Go Breakfast Bowls! Smoothie bowls truly are the BEST 🙂

As far as the Acai goes, I use these frozen Acai packets! There is also an Acai powder that you can use, but I’ve actually never tried it. If you use that, let me know how you like it! And as always, be sure to tag your #JarOfLemons creations on Instagram!

Ingredients
  • 1 packet frozen Acai
  • 1 banana
  • ½ cup plain greek yogurt
Instructions
  1. Mix all ingredients together in a blender.
  2. Serve, add toppings, and enjoy!
